This is the tombstone for William Henry Haley and Clara Holt Haley. They are buried at New Hope UMC in Randolph, VA. Interestingly enough, William's birth date is incorrect. He was born in 1861, not 1860. I base this on the information he provided on his marriage registration and on the information from his death certificate.
Clara Holt Haley was my great grandmother. My dad is Richard Jefferson Singleton and born in Clarkton, VA in Halifax county. His mother was Ivy Haley Singleton, daughter of Clara Haley. I remember my great grandmother who briefly lived with us in Altavista, VA when I was a child in the 50's. Ivy Haley Singleton died young in about 1923 at the age of about 29. I have a picture of Ivy and a girl named Winnie, I believer that she is her sister. My email: fdsusa@gmail.com I have newspaper clippings of Clara Haley's birthday and obit.
